Miles Away
The preacher, the minister,
The father, the reverend.
All they think and what they teach.
Is what they can understand.
The statesman, the candidate,
The governor, the head of state.
All they say and what they pledge.
Is just give us hope and hate.
But why, why’s the tale so cold?
And why, do I feel controlled?
The vicar, the clergyman,
The lawyer, the barrister.
All they do and what they claim.
Is strengthen their barrier.

This is where it ends.
Traveling for days,
traveling for weeks,
we are traveling for a long time to see.
